Firearms and Range Safety
Everyone handling a firearm should understand and hopefully abide by firearm safety, but it never hurts to revisit every now and again.
The one thing that can never be Stressed enough when handling a Firearm is Firearm Safety.
SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY is YOUR FIRST responsibility as a Firearm owner.
Security is YOUR SECOND responsibility as a firearm owner.
Owning a firearm is a huge responsibility PLEASE be SAFE.
One of the first rules of firearm safety is always handle a firearm as if it were LOADED even if it is NOT.
Always keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction even if unloaded.
Never load the firearm until ready to use.
Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire.
If there is anything you do not understand, get help from someone qualified in the safe handling of firearms.
Never give or receive a firearm to or from anyone without first locking open the slide, breach, bolt or cylinder depending on the style or type of firearm and removing any ammunition, shells, cartridges, bullets, magazines or clips. KEEP IT SAFE.
While on the range and a Cease Fire is called and people are down range hanging or removing targets, NEVER under any circumstances pick up or Handle a firearm even if unloaded, let people feel comfortable and confident that YOU ARE A SAFE AND RESPONSIBLE PERSON.
